Dave at Dynobike walks us through the des-restriction process for the LAMS Triumph Street Triple 660, and puts it through its paces on the Dyno.
Power gains are very impressive netting a whopping 30 horsepower compared to the stock machine.
The LAMS Triumph Street Triple 660 produces 5o horsepower at the rear wheel and 80 horsepower once de-restricted!
Peak torque numbers are not too different between the stock and de-restricted machine at 42.5 ft/lb as opposed to 37.3 ft/lb, but that would be missing where the actual real gains have been made.
At the upper-midrange and top-end rpm, the de-restricted LAMS Street Triple 660 produces around 10-15 ft/lb more torque than the restricted motorcycle. Even lower down the rpm range where the restricted model is strongest, the de-restricted model still produces more torque.
See below de-restriction options

So is that 80hp just from removing the throttle restrictor or is it tuned as well?
If not tuned what does it make with a tune?
