Kawasaki ZX-10R: Over 20 Horsepower Gain with Akrapovič Evo System and Dynobike Tune

Dave at Dynobike has a lovely clean ZX-10R on the dyno for a new exhaust and tune.

The 2025 ZX-10R on the bench is stock other than a slip-on that retains the restrictive catalytic converter.

So there is lots of room for improvement in terms of numbers and real-world performance.

Dynobike offers plenty of exhaust options from cat deletes to full systems, but the customer went for a full Akrapovič Evolution system.

You can find other options to suit your tastes Here.

With the addition of a DNA filter and a custom tune to match, the end results are pretty impressive. Peak power is up from 180 horsepower to 196 horsepower at the rear wheel.

This is a fantastic gain, but even more impressive are the gains throughout the entire rpm range – literally from top to bottom. For example, we see a 20 horsepower gain at around 8,000 rpm.

These kinds of gains are comparable to an extra 100 cc of displacement and will really be noticeable on the road.

If you want something similar, we have exhausts and tunes to suit, whether a custom tune or a mail-in flash tune. Or, if you’re more adventurous, via a Powergate4 – you’re good to go either way.

If you haven’t already got an exhaust and filter, you can find them below.
