With noise emission regulations worldwide becoming more strict and increased criticism from the general public for noise, Vandemon came up with a bimodal Valve Slip-On muffler that does away with the OEM catalytic converter and heavy steel muffler. Apart from a significant weight saving, this exhaust is unique in that the operator can choose from two exhaust tones, Quiet or Loud, at the press of a button on the handlebars.

  • How Does It Work?

The slip-on consists of two mufflers, the first being a quiet muffler that is positioned where the catalytic converter once was and then a final non-restricted muffler. Exhaust gas is redirected through the first muffler when the valve is shut via a purpose-made titanium electrically operated valve that, when closed, directs all exhaust through both the first and second mufflers to give an exhaust tone that is OEM quiet. When the valve is in the open position, the exhaust gases will exit via the path of least resistance which is the final muffler that has no restriction to gas flow, making for a deep tone and maximum power. A purpose-made weather-resistant BMW electric motor drives the exhaust valve enabling the rider to switch between quiet and loud via a handlebar-mounted switch.

  • When tuning the Stealth exhaust the technician will customise the tune to the valve open (loud mode). The quiet mode should only be used when in suburbia and city limits when the engine is operated at lower engine speeds or highway cruising speeds under 6000RPM as the Stealth mode is more restrictive and will create excessive exhaust back pressure if you race the engine at RPM’s above 6000rpm.

The sole purpose of this exhaust is so the rider can choose between quiet or loud and not to cause a nuisance to the general public and authorities while still having the luxury of a better-sounding and more powerful exhaust when out on the open roads.

A Point of Interest: This exhaust can also work with the OEM Ducati Muffler for those who only want to delete the catalytic converter.

  • Appearance:

The surface finish is natural brushed titanium which won’t stain, corrode or need polishing as titanium has a very high acid and salt resistance and dissipates heat twice as fast as steel.

    • Material: Ti1 Titanium Mufflers and Link pipes
    • Surface finish: Natural brushed
    • Weight: 5kg
    • Production years: 2021-2023
    • Power: +8hp after tuning
    • Not Euro 4 or Euro 5 compliant

Why buy a titanium exhaust? Due to its strength, weight and anti-corrosion quality, Titanium is found in the most demanding applications on Aircraft airframes, jet engine compressor blades and ducting, deep-sea saltwater vessels, steam turbine blades, rocket motor cases and F1 and MotoGP

Other advantages of Titanium:

  • Very light, Increased power to weight ratio
  • Won’t corrode or discolour
  • Never need polishing like stainless steel & aluminium
  • Dissipate heat twice as fast as Stainless Steel
IMPORTANT! VANDEMON EXHAUST SYSTEMS DESIGNED FOR PERFORMANCE AND MODEST SOUND IMPROVEMENTS.  VANDEMON DO NOT TRY TO MEET NOISE EMISSION STANDARDS BECAUSE SIMPLY THE RESULTS WOULD BE NO DIFFERENT THAN WHAT YOUR OEM EXHAUST CAN ALREADY ACHIEVE. CHECK YOUR AUSTRALIA’S ADR’s FOR NOISE EMISSION STANDARDS RULES AND REGULATIONS.
