Ducati X Diavel & Diavel S 1260 Cat Delete Bimodal Stealth Titanium Slip-On

Choose from two exhaust tones at the Press of a Button.

With regulations becoming stricter worldwide and increased criticism from the general public, Vandemon has developed a Bimodal variable Valved Slip-On muffler. This muffler eliminates the OEM catalytic converter and heavy steel mufflers. In addition to significant weight savings, this exhaust is unique because the operator can select from two exhaust tones, Quiet or Loud, at the press of a button.

How Does It Work?

The system consists of three mufflers and a purpose-made titanium valve that, when closed, directs all exhaust through a larger central muffler which then exits through the top muffler to give an exhaust tone as quiet as the OEM mufflers. When the valve is in the open position, the exhaust will exit via all three mufflers with 90% of the exhaust gas choosing the path of least resistance and exiting via the lower muffler with no restriction to gas flow, making for maximum power and a deep exhaust tone. The servo motor that drives the valve is a purpose-made component insulated from heat and weather-resistant.

  • When tuning the Stealth exhaust the technician will customise the tune to the valve open (loud mode). The quiet mode should only be used at light throttle cruise highways or when in suburbia and city limits when the engine is operated at lower engine speeds as the Stealth mode is restrictive and will create excessive exhaust back pressure if the engine is raced.

The sole purpose of this exhaust is for the rider to be able to be Stealth quiet and not be noticed when needed as well as have the luxury of a loud and more powerful exhaust when out of city limits.

Vandemon Exhaust systems achieve maximum performance & style with a great sound utilising the latest manufacturing techniques & exotic materials such as Titanium, making for a significantly lighter exhaust system with less heat retention than the OEM system. In addition, weld quality is second to none with ultrasonically perfect welds, which Ducati clients would expect & appreciate for such an iconic brand of a motorcycle that only compliments this great marque.

Appearance:
Surface finish is a natural brushed finish which, when heated, changes to an iridescent blue and red as well as having an advantage over stainless steel in that Titanium won’t stain, corrode or ever need polishing due to Titanium’s high acid and salt resistance which also dissipates Heat twice as fast as steel, further safeguarding against extended Heat soak into body panels when stationary.

Manufacture:
We at Vandemon use a unique welding process that completely penetrates and makes for an ultrasonically perfect connection with a beautiful and consistent overlapping fishbone appearance.

Tuning:

Custom Tuning is recommended for the best results to prevent lean operation.

Why buy a titanium exhaust?

Due to its strength, weight and anti-corrosion quality, Titanium is found in the most demanding applications on Aircraft airframes, jet engine compressor blades and ducting, deep-sea saltwater vessels, steam turbine blades, rocket motor cases and F1 and MotoGP

Other advantages of Titanium:

  • Very light, Increased power too weight ratio
  • Won’t corrode or discolour
  • Never need polishing like stainless steel & aluminium
  • Dissipate Heat twice as fast as Stainless Steel
IMPORTANT! VANDEMON EXHAUST SYSTEMS DESIGNED FOR PERFORMANCE AND MODEST SOUND IMPROVEMENTS.  VANDEMON DO NOT TRY TO MEET NOISE EMISSION STANDARDS BECAUSE SIMPLY THE RESULTS WOULD BE NO DIFFERENT THAN WHAT YOUR OEM EXHAUST CAN ALREADY ACHIEVE. CHECK YOUR AUSTRALIA’S ADR’s FOR NOISE EMISSION STANDARDS RULES AND REGULATIONS.
