Yamaha YZF-R9 Stage 2 Custom Tune and quick MT-09 comparison
Dave at Dynobike has the new Yamaha YZF-R9 on the dyno, where he supplies and installs a DNA Stage 2 air filter kit. Equipped with a full Akrapovič titanium exhaust, then applies some Dynobike magic.
The result: big mid-range gains (especially 6,000–9,000 rpm), a much stronger, smoother power curve overall, and noticeably better performance than the current MT-09 sister bike that shares the same engine. The YZF-R9 gains are better than stock and with similar mods.
